Tech Crew & Spot-op

Both Tech Crew and Spot/Op categories link to this page because, reasons.

I work for several local event/hire companies, as well as freelance - below are examples of the jobs I’m involved in.

AudioWave

I’ve been involved with AudioWave for over a decade; setting up and de-rigging PA/lights/power/stage/control for everything from raves/DJ Events, Rock n Roll in a town hall and charity days in muddy fields to conferences and fashion shows. I also provide PAT testing and equipment/cable repair services.

Webster Theatre

I’ve been with the Webster Theatre over a decade. I’m primarily a spot-op, but also act as stage crew for some productions. I’ve been involved with the modification of props with LEDs for panto as well as assisting the art director and props dept. I also decorate the Green Room every Xmas for Panto season.

DD8 Music (+ friends)

I used to do voluntary work for local organization DD8 Music (and by extension Kirriemuir’s Cancer Research Relay for Life fundraiser); whether it was setting up live sound, opping lights or mixing down studio sessions, I had my fingers in lots of pies. I also got involved with friends of DD8 Music whenever they needed lights and music for parties.

SRCevents (now SRCelectronics)

Or in other words, me myself and I.

During The Event (Lockdown), I got into lighting up local locations with a colleague from the Webster Theatre. I occasionally get involved with discos for acquaintances and friends-of-friends.
